Dear lecturer\teacher,

Our organisation installed a new feature in Moodle which automates the embedding of the lecture’s recording in Moodle. There are two scenarios:

  1. Recurring session:
    • Create section in Moodle with the name: “Zoom meetings & recordings”
    • Move it to the top of the course page
    • In this section, add a Zoom meeting activity – Mark it as “recurring”
    • The name of the Zoom meeting will be: the course name & period between lessons. For example,  “Math for children weekly zoom session Monday 9:00
    • Each recording will appear below with the name: “Zoom Recording:”, name of the session, and date of the session. For example: “Zoom Recording: Math for children 21/10/2021
    • To cancel the recording embedding process in Moodle, just add the #noembed tag to the title of the Zoom event in Moodle’s Zoom activity
    • Do not add the Zoom  activity to the “Topic 0” (General or announcments). the embeded video can delete the old messages .
    • Important – never hide the section or the Zoom meeting activity
  2.  Standard Zoom session:
    • Create section in Moodle with the name: “Zoom meetings & recordings”
    • Move it to the top of the course page
    • In this section add the Zoom meeting activity
    • The recording will appear and the Zoom activity will automatically be hidden
    • To cancel the recording embedding process in Moodle, just add the #noembed tag to the title of the Zoom event in Moodle’s Zoom activity
    • Do not add the Zoom  activity to the “Topic 0” (General or announcments). the embeded video can delete the old messages .
    • Important – never hide the section or the Zoom meeting activity
